As part of its Unlock the Commonwealth initiative, MHP commissioned planner Angus Jennings to study 10 popular, dense, walkable small-town neighborhoods that would be 'illegal' today as they do not conform to current zoning, which generally promote larger lots and less density. Jennings studied neighborhoods in Cohasset, Concord, Gr. Barrington, Ipswich, Lexington, Longmeadow, Melrose, Milton, Scituate and Williamstown.
