NORTHAMPTON --- MHP and the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission (PVPC) invite local officials and board members to a workshop on Chapter 40B, the Comprehensive Permit law. The workshop will be held on Monday, Sept. 19 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Northampton Senior Center.

BOSTON --- In its ongoing effort to help communities increase their supply of affordable housing, MHP is pleased to announce an upcoming training and additional information about support available to communities that have or want to create municipal affordable housing trusts.

REVERE --- An historic downtown corner that was once a popular rest point for stagecoaches and featured a post office run by Horatio Alger's father has been transformed from an abandoned property into new homes for seniors.

WILLIAMSTOWN --- After he helped draft the Community Preservation Act, Bob Kuehn traveled to Williamstown and saw a factory that epitomized his vision. This spring, local officials and funders gathered to celebrate Kuehn's memory and the transformation of Cable Mills into multifamily housing.

​BROOKLINE --- When communities brainstorm about creating more multifamily housing, building on housing authority sites is one idea that’s often explored. In Brookline, the housing authority took a hard look at its properties and that resulted in 32 new apartments.

​BOSTON --- To conclude its celebration of National Homeownership Month, MHP's ONE Mortgage Program is recognizing Lynn Housing Authority and Neighborhood Development for helping low- and moderate-income first-time buyers purchase their first home.
