STATE --- The pre-application period for the next round of Climate Ready Housing is open until April 11. The state funded opportunity funds deep energy retrofits in existing multifamily affordable housing. Funding will be leveraged competitively to support 10 to 15 projects.

Gain a deeper understanding of the local ecosystem that supports or hinders the development and preservation of affordable housing in our virtual training series: Strengthening Local Boards and Commissions to Support Affordable Housing. The three virtual trainings will be held on consecutive Thursdays in March from 12-1:30 p.m. beginning March 13.

The conference will be in person on Wednesday, June 4 and Thursday, June 5, 2025, at the DCU Center's Convention Center in Worcester. Registration opens in April.

This report, authored by experts across various fields, is the next step in increasing the supply of housing and lowering costs for residents of the Commonwealth.

BOSTON --- The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court (SJC) released its decision yesterday in Attorney General v. Town of Milton. The Massachusetts Housing Partnership (MHP) is pleased that the SJC upheld the MBTA Communities Act as constitutional, affirmed the Attorney General’s power to enforce it, and clarified that compliance with the law is mandatory. The law advances MHP’s mission of expanding access to affordable housing and promoting housing equity in the Commonwealth by requiring 177 communities to create reasonably sized districts in which multifamily housing is permitted as of right.
