LYNN, February 10, 2004 --- MHP is putting its bank-funded affordable housing loan pool to work in Lynn, committing $1.1 million in financing to help create 24 new units of rental housing.

BOSTON, January 26, 2004 --- The state's inability to keep pace with housing demand is forcing more than 600,000 households to spend more than 30 percent of their income on housing, and 250,000 of those are spending more than 50 percent, a burden felt most by lower-income families and young adults, according to a study co-sponsored by the Massachusetts Housing Partnership.

BOSTON, December 11, 2003 --- Since 1972, Morville House in the Fenway has been home for elderly residents like Eva Monteiro. Now, it will remain affordable and more units will be built for Boston's senior citizens.

BROOKLINE, December 8, 2003 --- A former student hostel located in a neighborhood where much of the housing is taken by college students has been turned into 15 units of affordable housing, thanks in part to MHP and a significant loan from the town.

WORCESTER, December 5, 2003 - Building by building, block by block, MHP continues to use its bank-funded loan pool to help Worcester turn abandoned or rundown properties into affordable housing.

FRANKLIN, November 28, 2003 --- A Rte. 495 suburban community known for its tremendous growth over the past 20 years has added 96 units of rental housing geared toward families, thanks in part to financing from MHP.
