NEW BEDFORD, December 6, 2004 - The Massachusetts Housing Partnership (MHP) is continuing to support the revitalization of the Acushnet Heights neighborhood of New Bedford, announcing today it will commit $300,000 in financing to help support the conversion of a former school into 12 units of affordable rental housing.

LOWELL, November 24, 2004 -A local non-profit has teamed with a for-profit developer and the city to bring 33 units of affordable rental housing to the city's Acre neighborhood, thanks in part to long-term financing from MHP.

TAUNTON, November 19, 2004 - A local non-profit has taken a major step in its effort to revitalize one of Taunton's mill village neighborhoods, breaking ground on a $12 million renovation of an historic textile mill into 64 units of affordable rental housing and 18,000 square feet of commercial space.

BOSTON, September 23, 2004 - MHP announced today that it has committed $1.3 million in financing for Sisson Road, a 13-unit affordable rental housing effort being developed by the Harwich Ecumenical Council.

SPRINGFIELD, August 25, 2004 --- A Springfield neighborhood recently celebrated the renovation of 55 apartments and the construction of 36 new apartments. The effort illustrates MHP's ability to spark neighborhood revitalization at the grass-roots level, and then support it over the long haul with long-term fixed rate financing.

BOSTON, July 7, 2004 --- The Massachusetts Housing Partnership (MHP) announced today that it has made a $750,000 loan commitment - $450,000 of it at no interest - to help a non-profit development team buy two three-family houses in Beverly.
