MARLBOROUGH --- A recent regional conference on affordable housing trusts gave community members from the greater Boston area a chance to learn how a trust works, how a developer thinks and how to move a development opportunity forward.

​There is still time to register for this Saturday's day-long training geared towards trustees of existing Affordable Housing Trust boards and staff that support those trusts.

Continuing its efforts to help communities understand the value and effectiveness of local affordable housing trusts, MHP recently organized tours and regional roundtable discussions in Lenox, Amherst and Westford.

GOSHEN --- In celebrating the grand opening of 10 affordable apartments for seniors, the Town of Goshen demonstrated what can be done when residents have initiative and local moneythey can use for housing.

BOSTON --- In its ongoing effort to support the Local Initiatives Support Corporation's efforts to encourage energy efficiency in affordable housing, MHP is co-sponsoring a training and letting property owners know about grants that will fund energy audits and kickoff design meetings to discuss ways to address energy issues.

MHP is pleased to host three regional housing trust roundtables and a day-long trust conference this fall.
