CREW Boston awards $5K scholarship to Shawna O'Neil to support her graduate work at Northeastern.

​FRAMINGHAM --- Given that many recent affordable housing efforts include Community Preservation Act funds, local leaders and volunteers interested in creating more housing should sign up now for a Friday, May 10 training on how CPA can be used to support community housing.

BOSTON --- Using its ability to provide low-interest financing to help owners keep their apartments affordable, MHP has committed a $2.3 million, 40-year loan to the Allston-Brighton Community Development Corporation (ABCDC) for the refinancing of Ray Dooley Apartments, a 59-unit affordable housing complex in Allston.

MHP will conduct two trainings this spring to help communities understand how to effectively use local funds to support affordable housing - a housing trust roundtable on the Cape in April and Community Preservation Act and housing training in May.

Throughout its history, MHP's community assistance and lending teams have devoted themselves to demonstrating that small-scale affordable housing development can work . The latest example is Mashpee.

BOSTON --- A one-day training on fair housing marketing and lotteries will be held on Wednesday, April 24 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the South Station Room at 100 High Street, Boston.
