BOSTON --- As part of its ongoing effort to provide intensive affordable housing training for local officials and volunteers, MHP is hosting its 18th Housing Institute. The conference will be in person on Wednesday, June 4 and Thursday, June 5, 2025, at the DCU Center's Convention Center in Worcester. Registration will open in April.
The conference brings together municipal leaders, volunteers and employees in suburban and rural communities and gateway cities to problem solve, network and share ideas on the development process of affordable housing across the commonwealth.
This year’s Housing Institute includes three tracks:
- Policy and Planning
- Affordable Housing Development
- Outreach and Advocacy
Other activities include site visits and neighborhood walks. A draft schedule along with session descriptions will be available when registration opens.
Here’s what we covered during the 2024 Housing Institute:
Housing Hero Awards
One of the many highlights of Housing Institute will be the Housing Hero Awards ceremony in which local officials, volunteers and communities are honored for their role in supporting affordable housing.
