FRAMINGHAM --- Given that many recent affordable housing efforts include Community Preservation Act funds (CPA), local leaders and volunteers interested in creating more housing should sign up now for a Friday, May 10 training on how CPA can be used to support community housing.
This training runs from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the The Plymouth Church, 87 Edgell Road, Framingham, MA 01701.
The cost of the event is $30. Coffee and lunch will be provided. Check in on the day of event will begin at 9 a.m. To help us get a handle on who will be attending, please register now.
The event is designed for members of Community Preservation Committees (CPC) and municipal staff. The agenda will include:
- Explore how to use data to make the case for community housing.
- Learn how to build support for community housing.
- Review eligible housing activities.
- Learn how other communities are using CPA to support housing.
- Gain tips on working with your local affordable housing trust fund.
