BOSTON, March 13, 2015 --- The Massachusetts Housing Partnership put its bank-funded loan pool to work this winter, committing $40,223,958 for the financing of 546 units of rental housing across Massachusetts.
Here is a roundup of MHP's most recent loan commitments:
City of Boston
RTH Riverway (Roxbury): MHP committed over $2.1 million in first mortgage financing to help the Roxbury Tenants of Harvard Association, Inc. construct 60 apartments in the Longwood Medical area.
75 Amory Avenue (Jamaica Plain): MHP committed $1.3 million in first mortgage financing to help Jamaica Plain NDC build 39 new rental units.
Boston area
181 Washington Street (Somerville): MHP committed over $2.3 in first mortgage financing to help Somerville Community Corp. create 35 units of affordable rental housing in the Union Square neighborhood.
Commonwealth Residences (Wayland): MHP committed $13.3 million in first mortgage financing to help build 52 units of rental housing.
Western Mass.
Dalton Apartments (Pittsfield): MHP committed $2.5 million in first mortgage financing to help Rees-Larkin Development LLC and Berkshire Housing Development Corporation create 100 affordable rental units.
South Shore
274 East Main Street (Norton): MHP committed $15 million in first mortgage financing to help Campanelli and Thorndike build 188 apartments.
Merrimack Valley/North Shore
Tenney Place Apartments (Haverhill): MHP committed $3.65 million in first mortgage financing to help Dakota Partners Inc. create 72 rental units.
